Hi everyone. I just arrived at work, and I wanted to stop for a quick moment and give you a piece of life and professional advice. So that advice is: don’t let anyone write your story for you. You write your own narrative. What I mean by that is this. People have their own advice, and they have their own expectations of what you should be in life, what you should do in life, who you should love. Some of them have your best interests in mind. Some of them do not. Let’s say for instance, a parent who says, “Hey, I don’t want you to study abroad. I’m scared for you. I’m worried about the trip. I’m worried about you being able to be successful over there.” Or “Hey, I don’t want you to take that job or career because maybe it’s not stable.” They have your best interests at heart. There are the others though who just want to tear you down. “Hey, you’re not good enough for that position, or you’re not smart enough, or you’re not qualified for that.” What I need you to do is write your own narrative. Write your own story. How do you do that? Well, you do that in three steps. This video outlines what those steps are.
